S-N-O-W and TOFW

So we had no snow up until about the middle of Feb. Then of course just before the weekend I had plans to leave town, the BIG one hit!
 Roads were nasty. Snow was wet and heavy. Carter, Chad, and I (and even mollie) got in on lots of snow shoveling.
 This is about an hour after I shoveled our walks! You couldn't even tell I had shoveled!

When I dropped Bri off for Preschool the walks were clear! 2.5 hours later they were filled with about 6 inches of snow! I knew those kids would be walking in snow up to their knees so I hopped out and shoveled a path as quick as I could go!
 Then I hopped in my car to go to Time Out for Women in Idaho Falls with Jenna! Her husband had bought 2 tickets and a hotel room for her and she invited me to go with her! It was such a wonderful weekend of catching up and being lifted.

I sure love this friend and I hope we will always stay close!
 The roads on the way home were not fun driving in! Or the way there! But I took the truck and I made it! I was a little aLOT nervous!

AND I got a cute dress out of it!! Love Love LOVE it!

Surprises

The day before we left a few surprises showed up! Since we were traveling, we didn't want to take the big gifts with us. chad spent many hours in the garage building Carter a lego table! I thought it turned out so great and will be a fun inheritance to keep in our family.   Mollie asked for a computer chair that spins. So that was my project. I actually repainted it and reupholstered it and it turned out really cute!  And then, there was a knock on the door! A snowboard had been delivered from Santa for Chad!!  He was pretty surprised I think!  The saddest thing happened durring all of this though....I didn't explain to her that just Carter and Mollie had big gifts, so she was crushed when she didn't have a gift to open! The video of it is so sad! So i dug through our bags of gifts that were already packed to find her a gift to open!  she perked right up when it was a BARBIE with pets! We sure love our kiddos and love seeing them light...

From about Christmas on we were sick through March! (writing this in March) Atleast 1 person a week was sick. Flu season was the worst I've ever seen. So hopefully we will get a break soon. Poor little Ry had some bad bugs a few times this month.   One sunday the girls decided to all dress up in grandmas earrings! It was so cute and I love that I have this token to remember her.  These workout friends have kept me going through the January blahs and sickness. Love them and I consider them all great friends!!  The most exciting thing was having Bri start dance! She loves it and takes it so seriously!  And it helps that she has super good friends in there with her!!!!

Christmas morning

Christmas morning was magical as always. The kids were excited about their surprises from Santa. Grandpa and Carter set up a camera to try to catch Santa and He dropped his hat right over the camera so it blocked everything! Maybe next year Carter! Rylee was ecstatic with her pink balance bike.  Bri loved her new tent  Carter has been begging for heeleys for years and was super stoked about them! Mollie got an easy bake oven that I guess I didn't get a picture of.  Stockings were next! Santa was even good to G&G Reed!  Everyones loot!  I was way excited for my instapot!  After gifts, we had a yummy cinnamon roll christmas tree breakfast!  Here's one from Christmas eve that wouldnt fit in the book.
